FIRST PROJECT!

OUR FIRST PROJECT IS CALLED JOURNEYS AND DESTINATIONS IN GROUPS WE HAD TO VENTURE OUT AND VISIT A LIST OF INTERESTING CITY VENUES. INCLUDING: -

THE NOTTINGHAM CONTEMPARY
VIVIENNE WESTWOOD
PAUL SMITH
THE NOTTINGHAM CASTLE

THE PLACE THAT I LIKE THE MOST WAS THE NOTTINGHAM CONTEMPORY MUSEAM WHERE WE SAW THE WORKS OF THE TOBIAS TWINS ARTISTS FROM TRASYLVANIA, WHICH WAS VERY INSPIRING!

Gert and Uwe Tobias’ large woodcuts, gouache paintings, typewriter drawings and ceramic sculptures combine influences from traditional folk art and abstract art from the early 20th century. Their vividly coloured images, objects and environments evoke a world that is hallucinatory and strange. Twin brothers, Gert and Uwe grew up in Translyvania, then Germany.
